Framing & Personalized Services

HandmadePiece is an art company, and handmade is our core, which alone distinguishes HandmadePiece from most galleries or suppliers here and there.

We do handmade art, with oil on real canvas. We do framing, mostly from solid wood. All artworks are made by ourselves. Unlike your local or some bigger sellers online, we have full control over our artworks, being able to customize your artworks in a flexible as-you-wish way.

Framing

With HandmadePiece, you may choose artworks:

1. Non-framed (unstretched in a roll) - preferred by customers who hope to do the framing at a local store
2. Stretched on wooden bars - preferred by modern style lovers
3. Framed - the classic way to go with art

For frames, we:

1. Prefer top-quality solid wood
2. Customize to match your artworks quickly, usually 1-2 business days;
3. Make them look exactly the ones you specify, given pictures or patterns.

Besides ordinary frames, we also provide top-notch classical/antique frames. Should you have such needs, contact us.

Matboard or Mount

Matboard stands for the surrounding area between the frame and the painting, often used for framed art. 

Our mat is made of acid-free museum-level paperboard, with texture that adds to the entire feeling of the artwork.

You specify the size, we do matting for you. You may choose to add mat or not when purchasing art. 

Glazing

We offer glazing options of both glass and acrylic, which offer outstanding optical clarity while protecting your artworks from impact.

You may choose to add glazing or not.

Canvas & Oil Paints

By default, we use artist-grade, acid-free thick linen canvas and eco-friendly oil paints.

Should you specify canvas or oil paints, often needed by bulk buyers, let us know.

Lamination

Lamination, usually reserved for prints, posters and other types of thin artworks, protects the surface from finger prints, weather, fading and other damages.
